At Tigard Children’s Academy, our Pre-K program (4½ – 5 years old) is designed to prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten by fostering independence, confidence, and a love for learning. Through a blend of structured activities and play-based learning, we help children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for school and beyond.
Our curriculum focuses on language development, early literacy, math, science, and creative expression. Children engage in storytelling, letter recognition, and early writing exercises to strengthen their communication skills. Math concepts such as counting, patterns, and problem-solving are introduced through hands-on activities, ensuring a fun and engaging learning experience.
Social-emotional growth is a key component of our Pre-K program. Children learn cooperation, teamwork, and responsibility while building friendships and developing conflict-resolution skills. A Day of Discovery & Growth in Pre-K
At Tigard Children’s Academy, our Pre-K program is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and prepare children for a smooth transition into kindergarten. Language & Literacy:
