Our Mission:

Our goal at Tigard Children’s Academy (TCA) is to provide a developmentally appropriate, early childhood educational program in partnership with teachers, parents and children.

We believe each child deserves an emotionally and physically safe world in which to explore experiment, take risks and make constructive errors.

At Tigard Children’s Academy, we provide an environment in which each child can develop the skills and knowledge that will allow them to pursue their potential and their dreams.

Tigard Children’s Academy believes in the importance of developing all aspects of a child’s well-being. Through our Total Child Academic Program of center-based fun activities, children grow in all areas of development; Academic, Social, Physical and Individual Creativity.

Tigard Children’s Academy believes in an atmosphere where children develop as leaders of today and tomorrow.

Inclement Weather/Emergency Closures:

In case of inclement weather, please call ahead to confirm our business hours for that day. We will make every effort to be open during normal operating hours, but the safety of our staff and ORCA families is of the utmost concern.  Therefore, we ask that you keep frequent contact with us throughout the day regarding the status of bussing and possible early closure.  We will follow the Tigard-Tualatin School District’s closing policies, to ensure the safety of your children and our staff.

Therefore, if the Tigard-Tualatin School District is closing due to weather/emergency conditions, we will also be closed.  If BSD has a 2 hour late start, we will open at 10:00am.  If there is an early release due to weather/emergency, we may also be closing.
