At Tigard Children’s Academy (TCA), we are dedicated to fostering a nurturing and enriching environment where children thrive. Our Total Child Academic Program focuses on four key areas of development:

Inclement Weather & Emergency Closures
At Tigard Children’s Academy (TCA), the safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff are our top priorities. We understand that unexpected weather conditions and emergencies can arise, and we are committed to making informed decisions that prioritize everyone’s security.
To ensure consistency and safety, we follow the Tigard-Tualatin School District’s closure policies during severe weather or emergency situations. Please review the following guidelines:
- If the Tigard-Tualatin School District closes, TCA will also be closed for the day.
- If there is a two-hour delay, TCA will open at 10:00 AM to allow for safer travel conditions.
- If the school district announces an early release due to worsening weather or emergency circumstances, TCA may also close early for the safety of our families and staff.
In the event of inclement weather, parents should stay informed by calling ahead or checking for updates through our communication channels. We will make every effort to notify families promptly about any changes to our schedule.
Additionally, while we strive to remain open and operational whenever possible, the safety of our staff and families remains our highest priority. If conditions become unsafe for travel, we encourage parents to exercise their best judgment when deciding whether to bring their child to the academy.
